The party has settled into the Ordic city of Five Fingers. They sold most of their extra equipment, and began searching for the mysterious Aserath Scarrow. They did not know who this figure is, but Dr. Heisenberg has a number of contacts throughout the city. Eventually, the party makes their way to the Five Fingers Fight Club!
Upon entering the city itself, they used their streetwise and negotiations to fence the stolen Cygnaran cortecies, and purchased a portable alchemical lab, fully stocked, for the good doctor.
The party has the mesage taken on the way to the city, and Dr. H tried to put out contacts through the underground grapevine that he wanted to meet with Scarrow. There was a response, but a meeting could not be arranged before a full week, which was much longer than the party was able to wait. At the same time, the alchemist noticed an odd scent to the paper. After a brief bit of experimentation, he revealed an additional message written in Invisible Ink. This new message was written in a strange, spiderlike script that nobody had seen before.
The ogrun were talking to people in a bar, and got information about the Five Fingers Fight Club. Nobody was willing to talk, but everntually the ogrun learned the whereabouts of the fights. It was soon determined that Scarrow did have investments in the fights, and the party learned that a group of strangers winning the tournament would indeed be able to meet Scarrow in person.
The first night was single and small group fights. One of the Ogrun squared off against a Mighty Trollkin, and the Khadoran Warcaster faced a Trollkin Stone Sorcerer. During the small group fight, the two Ogrun brothers and the Warcaster were joined by the Dwarf Pistoleer. Their opponents were the same previous Trollkin, plus two others: a human with one hand replaced by an iron pike, and a hulking, silent Trollkin acting as his bodyguard. The Trollkin force was known as the Panamon Kriel.
It was an evening of combat, and the party won all but one of their fights. Even that one was a very close battle. The party now has one day to recover and prepare for the Grand Team Melee. What could happen in a day in Five Fingers?
Two XP for everyone! They are now up to twelve Experience Points. Players got to add a new archetype ability.
