DB14: A Moments Rest

Popped like a cork through a drain pipe, the ships comes to rest in a temporarily safe place.  The increased flow in the side tunnels, due to the collapse of the main tunnel, has made navigating a problem. The Players first concentrate on simply controlling their ship, then they do find themselves in a small, quiet space for a short moment.  An abandoned refit station seemed a good place to catch their breath.

Nothing much to interfere with their rest and repairs. Both the ship and the party’s warjacks had taken some damage, so they took a few hours to do minor repairs and rest.  The increased flow of water through this small tunnel made thigns difficult, but they tied the ship to the flooded docks for stability.

During the repairs, dark figures were seen lurking along the shore, and soon a whole pack of Dregg were running by the ship.  They party engaged the beasts to keep them clear, with several players jumping ashore, and a few hanging back on the ship.  While the Players were killing Dregg, several Thrulg came sneaking up out of the water, and attacked the party from behind!  Thrulg are magic-eaters, so they went after the spellcasters first.  The fight was quick and nasty, with several Characters getting well chewed upon.

Once the creatures were driven off, the party finished what repeairs they coudl manage, and set off down the flooded tunnels to find the main concourse and their prey.

Three XP for everyone!  They are now up to thirty Experience Points! Players got to choose: either gain one new archetype (Mighty/Skilled/Intelligent/Gifted) ability, or choose a third Career and get two Occupation Skill points to use.  Players were fairly well split as to choosing either way.
